Originally hailing from Austin, Texas, Kaity combined her degree in chemistry and her passion for baking to forge a new career path. After graduating from the Auguste Escoffier School of the Culinary Arts, Kaity worked at some of Austin’s top restaurants. 

In 2015 she decided to move to New York to further her skills in desserts and chocolate work.  It was at the storied Gotham Bar and Grill, that she first worked for Chef Alfred Portale as the in-house chocolatier. Kaity left Gotham in 2018 to be a member of the opening team behind Recolte Dessert Bar, helmed by Chef Michael Laiskonis. 

Kaity is thrilled to be back working for Chef Portale as his Executive Pastry Chef and to be returning to Italian Cuisine.
